On Thursday, July 16, 2026, Arelis Mariah Rodriguez, 25, of Lebanon, left this earth after a fierce and courageous battle with cancer; surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, she was the beloved daughter of Aracelis Suriel. Arelis proudly graduated from Lebanon High School where she enjoyed playing volleyball while also cheering.

Arelis had a deep passion for art and her creativity shined through her various pieces of artwork no matter the piece. Whether it was crafting, meticulously following the key for gem paintings and even pottery, all art was a form of expression for Arelis. Video games, a good competitive board game and roller coasters at amusement parks were just a few activities to give her the perfect amount of thrill in this life. When not thrill seeking, she could be found enjoying time in nature, taking in all the earth had to offer. She was often referred to as a jokester by her family but more importantly noted was her kindness and her passion for anything she would take part in. Her bubbly personality drew others to her and even though shy; Arelis always found it easy to make conversation with those she loved. Her warm and caring presence truly left its mark on anyone that had the pleasure of knowing her. She loved fiercely and intently; not only with her family, friends, nephews but animals as well. Arelis made it a point to help every animal however she could.

Surviving in addition to her mom, Aracelis, are three sisters, Anarelis Rodriguez, Yacelie Rodriguez, Yulemnny Suriel, two brothers, Luis Suriel and Jose Rodriguez, as well as her maternal grandmother, Hilda Suriel, aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and extended family. Her furry friends and loyal companions, Noah and Milo will forever miss Arelis.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be private.

El jueves 16 de julio de 2026, Arelis Mariah Rodríguez, de 25 años y residente de Lebanon, partió de este mundo tras una feroz y valiente batalla contra el cáncer, rodeada del amor y el consuelo de su familia.

Nacida en Jersey City, Nueva Jersey, era la amada hija de Aracelis Suriel. Arelis se graduó con orgullo de la escuela secundaria Lebanon High School, donde disfrutaba jugando al voleibol y participando en el equipo de animación (*cheerleading*).

Arelis sentía una profunda pasión por el arte; su creatividad brillaba en sus diversas obras, sin importar el tipo de creación. Ya fuera realizando manualidades, siguiendo meticulosamente las guías para cuadros de mosaico de gemas o incluso haciendo cerámica, para ella cualquier forma de arte era un medio de expresión. Los videojuegos, los juegos de mesa competitivos y las montañas rusas en los parques de atracciones eran solo algunas de las actividades que le brindaban la dosis perfecta de emoción en la vida. Cuando no buscaba emociones fuertes, disfrutaba pasando tiempo en la naturaleza y apreciando todo lo que la tierra tenía para ofrecer. Su familia solía considerarla una persona bromista, pero lo que más destacaba era su amabilidad y la pasión que ponía en todo lo que hacía. Su personalidad alegre atraía a los demás y, aunque era tímida, a Arelis siempre le resultaba fácil conversar con sus seres queridos. Su presencia cálida y cariñosa dejó una huella imborrable en todos aquellos que tuvieron el placer de conocerla. Amaba con intensidad y entrega, no solo a su familia, amigos y sobrinos, sino también a los animales; Arelis siempre se esforzaba por ayudar a cualquier animal de la manera que pudiera.

Además de su madre, Aracelis, le sobreviven tres hermanas: Anarelis Rodríguez, Yacelie Rodríguez y Yulemnny Suriel; dos hermanos: Luis Suriel y José Rodríguez; así como su abuela materna, Hilda Suriel, además de tíos, sobrinos, primos y demás familiares. Sus amigos peludos y fieles compañeros, Noah y Milo, extrañarán a Arelis para siempre.

Los servicios funerarios serán privados y se llevarán a cabo según la conveniencia de la familia. El sepelio también será privado.
