Barbara E. O'Neal, born on September 17, 1946, in Lebanon, PA, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, at Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital. She was a beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
Barbara’s journey through life began in Rexmont, where she was raised in a family as the youngest of 9 that instilled in her the values of love and togetherness. Graduated from Lebanon High School in 1964. In October 1965, she started 60 years of marriage with Floyd I. O’Neal. As an Airman’s wife, she traveled the US for 4 yrs and settled in North Lebanon Twp for the majority of her life and raised 3 Children.
She is survived by her husband Floyd and 3 children; Peggy O’Neal of Annville, Steven O’Neal (Jessica Hoenich) of Lebanon and Michael O’Neal (Melissa Rohland) of Pine Grove. 6 Grandchildren; Kyle O’Neal, Clay O’Neal, David Feliciano, Grayson O’Neal, Myla O’Neal and Kade O’Neal. 2 Sisters; Christine (Teenie) Werni and Judy Yantz (DaleYantz). Preceded in death by her parents Mabel (Demler) and Lester Whitman of Rexmont and 6 Siblings; Helen Arnold, Joanne Reed, Richard Whitman, Lester (Bud) Whitman Jr, Donald Whitman and Ruth Yingst.
Barbara's passion for baking was known to all, especially during the holidays and family gatherings. These moments were precious to her, embodying her love for family and tradition. She enjoyed travel, cruises and the sounds of slots with friends and family. Barbara worked in several jobs over her career but they all included seeing different people on a daily basis; In Sales as a window Representative, as a Bank Teller, as North Lebanon Twp Tax Collector and retired as a Treasurer Clerk at the Lebanon County courthouse.
Barbara O'Neal leaves behind a legacy of love, commitment to family, and special memories.
A private committal service will be held at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with family and friends.
