Debra “Debbie” Burnett Weber, born December 14, 1957, beloved daughter of Raymond and Lois Burnett, went to be with the Lord on January 25, 2025.
Debbie courageously battled lung cancer for two years, fighting with every ounce of her strength, grit, and determination. When asked how she was doing, her steady and familiar reply was always, “I’m hanging in there.” And she truly was—right to the very end. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Lois Burnett.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Weber; her children, Crystal Stein, wife of Chris Stein (lovingly known by Debbie "pain in the ass”); Bobbi-Jo Stankinas, wife of Albie Stankinas (lovingly known as Sweetie Stankinas”); and Kevin Weber, husband of Alyssa Weber. Debbie was a proud and deeply devoted grandmother to Allania, Kiersten, Logan, Issy, Lucas, Albie, Madisyn, and Roslyn, and an adoring great-grandmother to Ella and Sofia. She is also survived by her sisters, Judy and Renee.
Debbie was the absolute most amazing human being anyone could ever know. She was the most loving and selfless wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother anyone could ever ask for but her love did not stop with blood. Debbie had a rare and beautiful gift: she took people in exactly as they were and loved them just the same as if they were her own children. Family, to her, was defined by the heart, not DNA.
She loved fiercely and unconditionally, never missing a moment to tell those she cared about just how deeply they were loved. Her home, her heart, and her arms were always open. Debbie was honest, loyal, protective, and full of personality. She had that look—the one that let you know she was mad—and when you saw it, you knew you’d better run for the hills because she was about to kick your ass. It was all part of her fire, her strength, and the way she protected the people she loved.
Debbie also showed her love through food. She made the best chocolate mousse pie and pickled eggs and stuffed shells in the entire world and feeding the people she loved was just another way she wrapped them in comfort and care. Her kitchen, like her heart, was always open.
She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. And leaves behind a legacy of loving unconditionally!
