Dorothy Cecil

Dorothy "Dotty" Cecil, age 75, of Lebanon, PA, passed away on July 3, 2026. Born in Beauty, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Lydia (Perry) Preece.

Dotty built a long and dedicated career in commercial property management. Throughout her life, she lived in West Virginia, Ohio, and Chicago before settling in Lebanon County, where she made her home for nearly 40 years. For much of her career, she commuted to Philadelphia, a testament to her strong work ethic.

She found joy in spending time with family, researching her genealogy, participating in Bible study, and cooking. Dotty especially loved experimenting with new vegetarian recipes and sharing her creations with loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gary E. Cecil, and her siblings Barbara, James, Ronald, Virginia, and William.

Dotty is survived by her son, J. Matthew Cecil; daughter-in-law, Jamie; grandchildren Paige, Benjamin, and Henry; her sister, Lynda Fields; and several nieces and nephews, all of whom will cherish her memory. 

Private memorial services will be held for the family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
