Kathryn “Kathy” Harinsky, 80, of Lebanon, and formerly of Nesconset, NY, passed away on June 25, 2026. Born in Flushing, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Young) Lebrecht. She was married 59 years on June 18th to her beloved husband Ronald P. Harinsky.
Kathy attended the Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School and over the years worked for Boy’s Life, Smithtown School District and Estee Lauder. Her heart was forever tied to the beauty and charm of Long Island. She loved to spend time in Port Jefferson or at one of the many beaches, wineries and farms.
Kathy had a special place in her heart for her beloved West Highland White Terriers. Over the years, she lovingly raised and cared for six of these spirited companions. Each one held a special place in her heart.
Above all, Kathy cherished her family. She shared a special bond with her twin daughters and her devoted husband. She was a proud and loving grandmother to her four grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She cherished her time with them, celebrating milestones and making lasting memories together.
Kathy will be remembered for her kind spirit and the warmth she brought to everyone fortunate enough to know her. In addition to her husband Ron, Kathy is survived by 2 daughters: Karyn Smith (Clark) and Kathleen Creegan (John, III); and 4 grandchildren: John Creegan, IV, Kimberly Creegan, Kristin Smith, and Clark Smith.
A memorial service will be held at 12 PM on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Snyder Bean Funeral Home & Crematory, 890 Isabel Drive, Lebanon, PA 17042. The family will receive guests beginning at 11:30 AM. A light lunch will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions in Kathy’s name to ASPCA or Breast Cancer Foundation.
