Lauren L. Hallman

Lauren L. Hallman January 17, 1983 – February 6, 2026

Lauren L. (Spreen) Hallman, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on February 6, 2026, after a courageous five-year battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was 43 years old.

Born on January 17, 1983, in Rochester, Michigan, Lauren lived a life defined by joy, unwavering faith, and a rare, boundless compassion. To those who knew her, she was a constant source of light and love. Lauren possessed a unique gift for warming every room she entered, leaving an enduring imprint of kindness on every life she touched. She will be greatly missed.

Diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time in her life during summer of 2021, Lauren faced her illness with remarkable courage and a steadfast belief in the Lord. For nearly five years, she fought with strength and determination, traveling frequently to FoxChase Cancer Center in Philadelphia for treatment. There, she became known not simply as a patient, but as a source of encouragement — someone who freely shared her hope, comfort, and unshakeable faith with others walking their own difficult journeys. She was deeply loved there, just as she was at home.

Attending and supporting her children’s sporting events was a main source of happiness for Lauren and was a defining part of her spirit. She loved her Cedar Crest sports community and was proudly their number one fan, always cheering the loudest, encouraging every player, and celebrating not just victories, but effort and heart. Nothing brought her more profound satisfaction than being a constant, loving fixture in the lives of her children and their friends.

Lauren also had a deep love for animals and was a passionate advocate for rescue efforts. Over the years, she cared for numerous family pets and strays, often quietly taking them on, feeding them, and ensuring they were safe. She faithfully supported local rescue groups and believed every animal deserved compassion and care. Davis Dog Farm, specifically, held a special place in her heart.

Above all else, Lauren was devoted to her family. She shared a beautiful and meaningful 17-year marriage with her loving husband, Gerald (Cork) Hallman III — a partnership rooted in laughter, resilience, and deep, lasting love. Together they built a home filled with warmth, compassion, and joy. Lauren was endlessly proud of her children and poured her heart into raising them. Her favorite place to be was at home — surrounded by her family and their beloved animals — simply being together. It was in those everyday moments that she found her greatest happiness.

Lauren leaves behind Cork and their three cherished children, who were the center of her world: Cj (16), Logan (9), and Solia (7). In addition to her husband and children, Lauren is survived by her mother, Cindy Chappel and stepfather, Steve Chappel; her father, Carl Spreen and stepmother, Mary Lynn Spreen; her older sister, Erin Songer and husband, Steve Songer, and their children, Steven and Hudson; her younger brother, Bryan Spreen; and her younger sister, Samantha Chappel. She also leaves behind countless extended family members and dear friends whose lives were forever changed by knowing her.

Lauren will always be remembered for her radiant spirit, her infectious smile and laugh, and the way she made everyone feel seen, valued, and loved. Though, in her heart, she stayed ready to fight, her body could not continue. Her courage and grace leave a lasting legacy for all who knew and loved her.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on February 18th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Snyder Bean Funeral Home, followed by a celebration of Lauren’s life at 6:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Davis Dog Farm in Lauren’s memory, continuing her love and advocacy for rescued animals. Donations can be made at https://davisdogfarm.com/wish-list.

Her light continues to shine in the lives she touched so deeply.
