Maria Del Carmen Quinoñes

Maria Del Carmen Quiñones, 66 of Lebanon, passed away peacefully on Thursday February 12, 2026, at home surrounded by her family. She was born in San Sebastián, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Cristina Roman. She was a devoted homemaker.

Maria was a woman whose life was defined by love, resilience, and unwavering faith. She was a devoted daughter, a cherished sister, a loving mother, a proud grandmother, and a treasured great-grandmother. To those blessed enough to know her, she was so much more than family; she was Mama Maria and Titi Maria.

Maria had a heart that knew no limits. She was not only a mother to her own children, but a mother figure to neighborhood children and countless nieces and nephews who found comfort, guidance, and unconditional love in her presence. Her home and her heart were always open.

A woman of remarkable strength and deep faith, Maria faced many years of illness with courage and grace. Through every trial, she never wavered into her faith. It was her anchor, her source of peace, and a reflection of the powerful spirit that carried her through life’s greatest challenges.

Maria Del Carmen Quiñones was a warrior, a woman who lived with purpose, loved without condition, and gave endlessly of herself. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the family she nurtured, and the love she leaves behind. Her strength lives endlessly, her faith endures, and her memory will forever be a guiding light.

Maria leaves behind to celebrate her life in addition to her mother Cristina Roman her beloved children: Danny Quinones, Jazmin Quinones, Linnette Quinones, David Rivera, grandchildren, Danny Quinones Chambers, Danielle Quinones, Jailene Ortiz, Davonte Quinones, Destiny M. Martinez, D'Onthany N. Pabon-Quinones, Marius G. Davila, Jazlin M. Rivera, great grandchildren, Danny Quinones Chambers Jr., Nicholas Quinones, Savloar Satterthwaite-Chambers, Deana'lyn Quinones Chamber, Johnathan Ruiz, Anthony Martinez Jr., Amani Martinez, Adonias Martinez, D'Onthany N. Pabon Quinones Jr., Elias G. Pabon-Quinones. Also surviving are her siblings, Sonia Alers Goncalves, Ruth Alers and Jose Alers as well as many numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her dear sisters, Myrtha Roman and Sandra Alers, whom she now joins in eternal rest.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

María Del Carmen Quiñones, de 66 años, de Lebanon, falleció pacíficamente el jueves 12 de febrero de 2026, en su hogar rodeada de su familia. Nació en San Sebastián, Puerto Rico, hija de Cristina Roman. Era una ama de casa entregada.

María fue una mujer cuya vida estuvo marcada por el amor, la resiliencia y una fe inquebrantable. Fue una hija entregada, una hermana querida, una madre cariñosa, una abuela orgullosa y una bisabuela muy apreciada. Para esos benditos lo suficientemente buenos como para conocerla, era mucho más que familia; ella era Mama Maria y Titi Maria.

María tenía un corazón sin límites. No solo fue madre para sus propios hijos, sino también una figura materna para los niños del barrio y para innumerables sobrinos y sobrinas que encontraron consuelo, guía y amor incondicional en su presencia. Su hogar y su corazón siempre estaban abiertos.

Mujer de fuerza notable y profunda fe, María afrontó muchos años de enfermedad con valentía y gracia. En cada prueba, nunca vaciló en su fe. Era su ancla, su fuente de paz y un reflejo del poderoso espíritu que la sostuvo a través de los mayores desafíos de la vida.

María Del Carmen Quiñones fue una guerrera, una mujer que vivió con propósito, amó sin condiciones y se entregó sin cesar. Aunque su presencia física ya no está con nosotros, su legado sigue vivo en las vidas que tocó, en la familia que cuidó y en el amor que deja atrás. Su fuerza vive sin fin, su fe perdura y su memoria será para siempre una luz guía.

María deja atrás para celebrar su vida, además de su madre Cristina Roman, a sus queridos hijos: Danny Quiñones, Jazmin Quinones, Linnette Quinones, David Rivera, nietos Danny Quinones Chambers, Danielle Quinones, Jailene Ortiz, Davonte Quinones, Destiny M. Martinez, D'Onthany N. Pabon-Quinones, Marius G. Davila, Jazlin M. Rivera, bisnietos Danny Quinones Chambers Jr., Nicholas Quinones, Savloar Satterthwaite-Chambers, Deana'lyn Quinones Chamber, Johnathan Ruiz, Anthony Martinez Jr., Amani Martinez, Adonias Martinez, D'Onthany N. Pabon Quinones Jr., Elias G. Pabon-Quinones. También sobreviven sus hermanos, Sonia Alers Goncalves, Ruth Alers y Jose Alers, así como numerosos sobrinos y sobrinas.

La precedieron en la muerte sus queridas hermanas, Myrtha Roman y Sandra Alers, a quienes ahora se une en el descanso eterno.
