Newton E. "Newt" Culbert

Newton E. "Newt" Culbert, 92, of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at his residence. He was the husband of Margaret A. Bruder Culbert whom he married in 1954. Newt was born in Lebanon on September 12, 1931, son of the late Edward D. and Catherine L. Holland Culbert.
He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He had been employed for many years at Miller-Hess Shoe in Akron and retired from Y&S Candies. Newt was a member of Resue Hose Co #4, was an avid fisherman and enjoyed nature in general.
In addition to his wife, Margaret, Newt will be missed by his daughters, Catherine Culbert of Hershey, Kimberly, wife of John Reitenbach of Ephrata; his 3 granddaughters; 4 great grandsons and his brother, Peter, husband of Beverly Culbert of Lebanon and several nieces and nephews.. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kerry and sisters, Jill and Ann Culbert.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Newt's graveside service on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 11 AM from Indiantown Gap National Cemetery
